RAM -Mémoire vive is an illusionist projection on the façade of the Grande Bibliothèque, presented every evening from 8:30 to 11:00 pm (in 12-minute loops), until September 5 2021.
RAM-Mémoire vive was commissioned by the Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec / Grande Bibliothèque, in collaboration with Quartier des spectacles, Montréal, as part of the centenary of the Archives nationales du Québec.
To highlight the event, the installation also celebrates the living art of dance by marrying the animated photos with a choreography performed by Ample Man Danse artist Simon Ampleman. Through various technological processes and the interaction of the dancer within the archive, the Slacheurs collective brings to light the essence of our common past. The past inspires the present! Living art meets collective memory!
